Nvidia announced that it would be offering free access for 19 self-paced technical training courses, each worth up $90.

The initiative forms part of the Nvidia Developer Program. It aims to provide developers and tech enthusiasts cutting-edge knowledge on artificial intelligence and data sciences. The courses are divided into five categories: Generative AI and Large Language Models, Graphics and Simulations, Accelerated computing, Data Science and Deep Learning.

What is on offer? Each course lasts two to eight hours and is self-paced. The Generative AI & LLMs category, for example, includes the highly-requested “Prompt Engineering with Llama 2” class, which teaches the user how to interact and optimize large language model effectively.

The Deep Learning category, which is the largest section of the program, offers eight courses.

In order to take advantage of this offer, you will need to join Nvidia’s free Developer Program. Once you register, you will have access to all the courses and can learn at your own pace.

This announcement coincides with the rise in popularity of DeepSeek R1, an AI model from China that is making headlines due to its impressive capabilities, its low training costs and its ability for it to be run locally, with performance, which rivals OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

DeepSeek caused a recent stock market ruckus with Nvidia suffering record-breaking losses. The largest drop in share price by any U.S. company ever, a $600 billion drop.

Although DeepSeek R1 is said to have been trained using Nvidia H800 GPUs, it relies on Huawei’s Ascend GPU for inference () reduces its dependence on American tech.
