Anton Osika is the creator of the platform, who founded Lovable 2023.
He told TNW that he decided to build for the 99% of people who don’t create software.
Osika believes that the company “unlocks a new economic system” by allowing non-technical entrepreneurs to create successful businesses with no prior coding experience or software knowledge.
The platform has reached over 2.3 millions active users, and more than 10,000,000 projects have been built on it. According to the company’s website, more than 100,000 projects are created every day.
Lovable announced last week a $200mn series A round led by accelerator, with participation by 20VC, byFounders Creandum, Hummingbird and Visionaries Club. The funding valued the startup around $1.8bn, making it one of the largest Series A round ever raised by an European company.
Lovable has also revealed that it is now “fully agentsic,” giving the platform a “thinking through problems, making plans, and proactively taking actions like a developer.” This upgrade allows Lovable to search for content on the web, debug code, edit applications, with full context, all without human interaction.
In addition, the company has launched a Business Plan that offers “enterprise grade security, privacy and control.” This plan includes features such as reusable templates and self-serve SSO. It also includes private projects and data opt-out. Klarna Hubspot and Photoroom are among the first customers.
Osika stated in a press release that despite their rapid growth they are only just beginning to understand the implications of this technology for businesses and people around the globe. “AI unlocks the potential for people and businesses to build easily, create companies at an unprecedented pace, and have a good impact on the world.”
