The Midas Project, a watchdog group, spotted the changes after Google removed similar language from their Startups Founders Fund website. The company announced in early February it would eliminate diversity hiring targets and review diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI).

Google has been among the many large tech companies to roll back DEI initiatives, as the Trump Administration targets ” Illegal ” practice. Amazon and Meta have both rolled back DEI measures in the last few months. OpenAI has also removed any mention of diversity and inclusion on a webpage about its hiring practices. Apple, on the other hand, recently resisted a shareholder proposal that would have ended its DEI programs.

Several of these companies, such as Google, have contracts in place with federal agencies.
