Speaking with Fox News DigitalSabih Khan, Apple’s Chief Operation Officer, confirmed that the company was shipping U.S. made AI servers from its Houston plant ahead schedule. Here are the details.
Apple announced earlier this year that it would invest $600 billion in domestic infrastructure, including a server manufacturing plant in Houston.
In July, the facility produced the first test unit. The 250,000-square foot server manufacturing facility will begin mass production by 2026.
Formerly manufactured outside of the U.S. these servers will play a crucial role in powering Apple Intelligence and are the foundation for Private Cloud Compute (…).”.
