Apple and Anthropic have teamed up to create a software platform called “vibe-coding”which will use generative AI for programmers to write, edit and test code. Bloomberg published a report on Friday. Bloomberg reported that the iPhone maker plans to roll out its software internally but hasn’t yet decided if they will launch it publically. According to the report, the system is a version of Apple’s Xcode programming software that relies on Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet Model. Apple appears to be leveraging a network of partners to accelerate its AI efforts. Apple has revealed that OpenAI’s ChatGPT is already used to power Apple Intelligence. Google’s Gemini could be added in the future as an alternative. Anthropic could help Apple write code. Anthropic’s latest Claude models are popular among developers for coding tasks.
