The poll conducted last week shows that vivo’s X200 Ultra is a big hit. This makes their reluctance in selling it globally all the more puzzling. Even the X200s, a phone aimed for people who missed the original X200’s launch, did well.
Nearly half of the voters expressed their disappointment that the vivo X200 will not be sold in their area. Vivo is ignoring a large number of potential customers – the X200 Pro may be a great phone but it is not as good as the Ultra.
Surprisingly, one in five people are not discouraged and plan to import the X200 Ultra. It’s one the best camera phones for 2025, and it may be worth the extra hassle.
The Ultra is not loved by everyone – the main criticism seems to be the fact that the main camera does not have a 1″ type sensor (not because 1/1.28″ was small, but “Ultra’ comes with certain expectations). Some people are also not fans of the curved display, and wish it were flat like the X200 Pro.
Some people were also inspired to import the vivo X200s, but they are in a minority. Nearly a third of voters still have an interest in the phone. However, vivo will only sell it in China.
As expected, many people are looking at the other models in X200’s family and other flagships. This is a good upgrade for those who missed the original launch.
These two could’ve increased vivo market share in other nations too, but alas.
