According a report in Caijing Magazine, Tencent has purchased a new batch AI chips from NVIDIA. NVIDIA H20 chips are in short supply to meet Tencent’s deadline. Sources claim that the order is worth several billion yuan. Tencent’s large scale procurement of H20 chip in the short-term is primarily for WeChat integration with DeepSeek.
