Bloomberg reports that Tencent is considering a $15 billion purchase of South Korean game developer Nexon. The company has reportedly approached the founding family to discuss possible deals. Sources familiar with this matter say that Tencent has contacted Kim Jung-ju’s family to explore the possibility. The family is reportedly in talks with advisers, evaluating their options. Nexon was founded in May 1995 and is best known for its hit titles like Dave the Diver, Blue Archive (DNF), KartRider MapleStory and Crazy Arcade. Tencent and Nexon have a long-standing relationship.
