However, he acknowledged that Ling may have retained some documents on his personal Google Drive. Midha emphasized that Mercor operates independently and has no interest in Scale’s trade secrets. The company is currently conducting an internal review to determine the extent of any data possession.

Mercor has reportedly declined these requests.

When Scale contacted me about files on my personal drive, I offered to delete them, but was instructed not to take any action. I have not utilized these documents in my current role and have no malicious intent.” He expressed willingness to cooperate but acknowledged Scale’s decision to pursue legal action.
