Samsung released its Galaxy S24 FE in October. We’ve heard rumors about the S25 FE, its successor. The S25 FE was originally said to be equipped with the Exynos chipset that is used in the S24 FE. This might have put a lot of people off the device.
A new rumor claims that Samsung may choose to go a different route after all and instead use MediaTek’s dimensity 9400 soC. Don’t get too excited yet, the Exynos 2400e is still Samsung’s top choice.

The company will only switch to the Dimensity 9400 if Samsung’s foundry cannot produce enough Exynos2400e chips. Samsung would prefer to use its own chip because it is cheaper. We would all love to see Dimensity in the S25FE as its performance is superior.
The S25 FE offers little in the way other upgrades compared to the predecessor, so the switch to a new chipset could at least help drive sales. We’re sure to hear more in the future, as the S25FE launch is still months away. So stay tuned.
