The Oukitel WP210 is expected to offer excellent value for money, combining a fast MediaTek Dimensity chip with a 108-MP main camera, a particularly large battery and a robust housing. The device is expected to launch soon for the equivalent of under $400.

The Oukitel WP210 will be officially launched in mid-August. GSMArenanow has two images and key information about the features and pricing of the midrange smartphone. The report states that the Oukitel WP210 is expected to launch at the end August for less than US$400.

The midrange smartphone is expected impress with its robust housing, which is IP68 andIP69K certified and tested according to MIL-STD-810H standards. The housing is relatively heavy and thick, measuring 13.7 millimeters high and weighing 311 gram. The extra space has been used by Oukitel to install a large 8,800mAh battery that can be charged with USB-C at up to 45 Watts. The smartphone can be used as a portable power bank by using reverse charging at 10 watts.

Oukitel reportedly installed a MediaTek dimensity 8200. This is a 4 nm ARM processor that contains four Cortex A78 performance cores, with clock speeds up to 3.1 GHz boost, and four Cortex A55 efficiency cores. The WP210 is now significantly more powerful than outdoor phones with the MediaTek Helio G99. This should make the device more attractive in terms of price-performance.

According GSMArena’s further information, the Oukitel WP210 features a 6.7″ AMOLED screen with 1,080p+, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a brightness level of 550 nits. The fingerprint sensor, according to GSMArena, is invisibly integrated in the display. Meanwhile, the 32-MP camera for the selfie is housed within a punchhole. The large round camera module houses a 108MP main camera as well as two 2-MP sensors.

I was a teenager growing up in regional Australia when I first encountered computers. A broken leg sustained in a soccer match had temporarily forced me to live a largely indoor lifestyle. I began building my own systems not long after. After moving to Germany in 2014, I now study philosophy and anthropology. I am fascinated by the way computer technology has fundamentally reshaped culture and continues to do so.
