Redmi Note Pro Plus: A disappointing chipset is on the cards, as more details about the lineup emerge – NotebookCheck.net News (19459000)
New leaks have now revealed more information on Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi Note 15 series. While the Redmi Note 15 5G looks set to ditch MediaTek in favor of a Qualcomm chipset, the range-topping Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus could arrive with an underwhelming SoC choice.
It is widely believed that the Redmi Note 15 Series will launch this month. New leaks have revealed that the mid-range phones are set to debut in China, before being launched globally later this year. According to leaker PaperKing13’s post
it appears that the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus, which is currently at the top of the line, could launch with a disappointing chipet. The leaker, who appears to be citing Mi Code as a source, indicates that the midrange could have the same chipset used in the Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus. The shared image indicates that the chipset is Qualcomm’s “SM7635″or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 (as it’s commonly marketed).
The leaker does not provide any information about the chipsets that will power other models of the Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. The Redmi Note 15 5G will be powered by Qualcomm silicon, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G appears to be powered MediaTek silicon. There will also be Redmi Note 15 4G as well as a Redmi Note 15 Pro 4G. However, no reliable information has been revealed about their chipsets.
