OpenAI launched three new reasoning model – o3, O4-mini, o4 Mini-High for Plus and Professional subscribers. However, it turns out that these models have limitations.
The model in question is a OpenAI’s support documentsheds light on how to use ChatGPT’s three new reasoning model.
Subscribe to ChatGPT Plus and you will receive up to 50 messages a week for the most powerful reasoning models, the o3 model.
o4 mini-high (best for coders) offers 50 daily messages. These limitations apply only to the most popular ChatGPT Plus $20 plan. If you upgrade to ChatGPT PRO, which costs $200 a month, you will get “near unlimited” Access. OpenAI calls the Pro plan “near unlimited”
because you may still reach usage limits in certain situations, such as when your activity is artificial or violates OpenAI’s terms and conditions. These include:

Abusive use, such as extracting data automatically or programmatically.

Sharing account credentials or making account information available to others.

Reselling ChatGPT or using it to power third-party service. OpenAI is noted in the documentation. If you are on a free plan you can only use the o4 mini reasoning model by clicking the reason button.
Free users are not able to use other models.
