In an article with a paywall, Digitimes reported that NVIDIA was planning a bold move in China to spin off its operation by forming joint-ventures with local firms. NVIDIA responded by telling the Chinese media outlet Jiemian News, that the news was completely false and without foundation, and that publishing unsubstantiated statements and speculation as facts is irresponsible. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, on April 17, visited Beijing at the invitation of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
