More and more young people are choosing the agricultural profession, and this is also a great strength for rural areas, because the development of agrarian skills plays a key role in maintaining Hungary’s agro-economic competitiveness and in the economic development of rural areas, and the task of the board is to work in the agro-economic sector for the challenges of the 21st century. provide various training opportunities – commissioned by the Ministry of Agriculture (AM).

Our goal is that the rural areas will find their own and family happiness in the agricultural sector, exploiting the potential inherent in the characteristics of the countryside, thus helping the rural areas to maintain their population. In light of this, the selection of an agrarian specialist can be so important at the young age that it offers sure advantages, affordability and perspective in the long term.

There are currently 47 agrarian vocational training institutions operating across the country under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture, which provide educational opportunities for 67 departments (14,877) of students studying agriculture, as well as 16,861 students who teach other professions.

In the 2024/25 school year, 3,406 ninth-grade students began their studies in agrarian vocational training institutions.
