Microsoft revealed its Copilot Fall release On Thursdaywe introduced a number of new features along with a brand new face for the AIred: Mico (Microsoft Copilot). Microsoft’s new “Human-Centered AI” pitch is generating a lot of buzz, but all eyes are on the first officialpilot. Clippy’s successor – built for our AI-centric world.

It’s hard not to admit that Microsoft nailed it on the cute factor with Mico, but those who don’t want to see the character don’t have to — it’s completely optional to use.

Mico gives a faceCopilot; it was designed to be expressive and warm. This is to make voice conversations more natural, as if you were talking to a real person instead of a voice. It will respond to you in other ways than just a voice response, such as changing animation and colors.

If there was any doubt that Micro is the replacement for Clippy, AI and Tech website, Testing Catalog (via Windows Central,) spotted a Easter egg in the mobile app. If you tap on Mico repeatedly, it will eventually become Clippy temporarlyMy attempts to make Mico become Clippy were unsuccessful, but it did turn silver in response to my request that it do so.
