Hugging Face Physical Intelligence (19459064) has quietly launched Pi0 (Pi Zero) was released this week as the first foundational robot model that translates natural-language commands directly into physical action.

Remi Cadene is a principal researcher at Hugging Face and announced that Pi0 was the most advanced language action model for vision. The AI community was quickly alerted to a post on X. It takes natural language commands and outputs autonomous behaviour.

How Pi0 brings ChatGPT learning to robotics and unlocks complex tasks

This model, originally developed and ported by Physical Intelligence to Hugging Face’s LeRobot, can perform complex activities like folding laundry, cleaning tables, and packing groceries – activities that have been extremely difficult for robots in the past.

The team has also developed ” Pi0-FASTis an enhanced version of this model that incorporates the new tokenization scheme called Frequency-space action sequence tokenization (FAST)This version is five times faster and more generalized than its predecessor.
