Google reveals that Gemini has 350 millions monthly users in court hearing

According newly revealed details at a court hearing Google’s Gemini AI is around 350 million users monthly, far below ChatGPT or Meta AI.

First reported by The Infortmation (#19659004), a Google antitrust suit in progress, included a slide that provided information on the number of active users for Gemini AI. The slide revealed that Gemini had 350 millions monthly users worldwide and 35 million daily users as of March 2025.

These numbers represent a significant growth. The same hearing revealed that in October 2024 Gemini had 9 million daily users and 90 million monthly.

Google presented these figures to the US Justice Department, which argued that Google should not be allowed to extend its search dominance in the AI field. However, it’s clear that Google currently is the underdog. OpenAI and Meta currently beat Google in terms of these figures. TechCrunch ( ) reveals that Meta AI is nearing 500 millions monthly users by September 2024. OpenAI Recently, it was reported that its weekly active users topped 400 million.

Although the methods used to calculate these figures vary from company-to-company, it is clear that Google is far behind OpenAI when it comes to users. It’s not clear whether Google counts Gemini integration in products like Workspace apps and Gmail which have much [more]users.
