As productivity is threatened, consumers are increasingly turning towards artificial intelligence (AI) to get their work done. Half (49%) UK adults and two thirds (60%) Gen Z believe AI will save them considerable time by 2030.
Whether at work or at home, administrative tasks are the main cause of problems. This is where Samsung hopes AI can help.
AI can help you with your life admin
According to the study, the average Brit spends just 27 minutes a day on admin. The busiest people may spend up to two hours doing mundane tasks. However, many people avoid doing admin because they are tired after work (31%), do not enjoy the tasks (33%) or simply have other commitments (26%).
Concerned about the declining state of productivity, Samsung reports that more than a quarter of UK consumers (28%) feel they need a virtual assistant to help them with tasks such as organizing documents (13%), asking a raise (11%) or learning new software (11%).
We’ve reached a stage where AI is no longer about automation but rather anticipation. Annika Bizon is Director of Mobile Experience at Samsung UK & Ireland. She said, “Knowing intuitively what you want, and when, is key.”
With more companies investing into agentic AI, we’re on the cusp of the next generation of artificial intelligence, which will include intelligent personal assistants.
