All the information so far
After a disappointing reception for the last title (we were more positive than many in our Battlefield Bad Company 2 review ), all eyes are now on Battlefield 6. This is because it’s being marketed as a We’ll need to wait and see what happens at launch. But the Multiplayer reveal is the first time we’ve seen actual gameplay. I’m still live-blogging the event, providing up-to date information on everything announced as well as my thoughts on what was shown.
Over the years I have spent hundreds of hours playing the Battlefield series, including Battlefield 3 (), Battlefield 4,and Battlefield 1 (). I’m looking forward to the return of an old-school class system, and a battle simulator that is more grounded with dynamic maps. If early signs are any indication, I’m hopeful Battlefield 6will end up on our list of best FPS games by the end 2025.
Here is everything you need to learn about the Battlefield 6 unveiling event, including details on the open beta weekend, the release date, and other announcements. Join me as I cover the main showcase with all its juicy revelations.

What do we know? Battlefield 6 Official Trailer – YouTube (19459398)
We’ve already seen the official reveal trailer of Battlefield 6 embedded above. It’s a more realistic experience compared to Battlefield 20,42with matches taking place in New York City, on bridges and in skyscrapers. There’s a lot of destruction, which hopefully teases a return toBattlefield 3or Battlefield 4 .
Battlefield 6 will not cost $80 according to reports
According to EA CEO Andrew Wilson who responded to an investors question about competitors now releasing games for $80 during the company’s quarterly earnings call on the 29th of July:
“We’re not looking to make any changes on pricing at this stage,” Wilson stated. “That’s because we already have a fairly broad price scheme across our products.” We’ll just have to wait and watch.
Upcoming open beta
Why not both? Players can select official playlists that have Signature Weapons locked by class or not. More to come. EA has already announced that a beta open to the public will be available on July 21, 2025. We hope to hear more about this during the show. Players will be able to choose between playlists with Open or Closed Weapons. Many players prefer that weapons in Battlefield be locked to specific classes, so this open beta is the perfect opportunity to voice your opinion.
