Chinese AI unicore Baichuan AI recently made significant changes to its B2B operations. On March 3, 2025 the Business-end Team, which was primarily responsible for B2B in the financial industry, was disbanded. Employees signed termination agreements the same day. On February 19, 2025 the PE (Prompt Engineering), originally part of B2B, was transferred to the Product and Research group overseeing algorithm teams, and consumer-end product.
Baichuan AI responded by stating that it is optimizing and adjusting the financial business according to its established plans. This will allow the company to focus resources on its core businesses and accelerate the development of AI related medical technologies. Baichuan Intelligence announced that its AI medical program has reached significant milestones. The AI pediatrician developed in collaboration with Beijing Children’s Hospital has been officially deployed to provide expert consultations for complex cases. It is the first AI doctor to be formally used in the medical field.
Baichuan Intelligence has plans to integrate resources further, improve team efficiency, and promote deep application of AI to the medical field in order to facilitate the popularization of high-quality resources. This adjustment indicates that Baichuan Intelligence has moved from a multibusiness parallel model to one with a greater focus on AI in healthcare.
