Apple has released updates for its iPhones, iPads, and Macs.

The updates include new features such as bug fixes and refinements to AI tools. These updates are relatively mild compared to Apple’s last few updates. The 18.4 update, which is due later this year, should include some powerful Siri features.

iOS & iPados 18.3 Changes

The most significant changes to iOS 18.3 from its predecessor are Apple Intelligence.
First of all, the AI tools have been turned on by default. This gives users an AI enhanced iPhone experience straight out of the box. This will also eat more storage space, so it’s worth noting that if you own a 128GB iPhone. Apple has also made clear that the AI features remain in beta.

Another notable change is the italicization of Notification Summaries to make them standout from regular notifications. Apple has disabled summaries in news and entertainment apps. However, the tech giant intends to bring them back as soon as they stop hallucinating or combining unrelated information into misrepresentations. You can find our complete guide on how to control Notification Summaries here.

Visual Intelligence (which appears when you hold the Camera Control button down) is also being upgraded, so that it can now create calendar events after scanning posters and flyers. It can also identify animals and plants.

This update also fixes a bug where the equals symbol was being repeatedly tapped in the calculator application, as well as other smaller bugs.

macOS Sequoia 15

Apple’s AI software for the Mac is now on par with that of the iPhone and iPad, thanks to macOS 15.3 Sequoia. This includes Genmoji. Apple’s computers are also set to mirror the iPad and iPhone, with tweaks and bug fixes to Notification Summaries.

WatchOS 11.3

The Apple Watch will receive very few updates, but a new Unity watchface is available for Black History Month 2025. Reports suggest that there are no notable updates and that the watchOS update is mostly bug fixes.
