Ant Group has launched AQ on Thursday, an AI-powered health app that aims to expand its presence in the medical industry. According to the company’s website, the app offers over 100 digital services including doctor recommendations, medical report analysis and connects users with resources from more than 1 million doctors and 5,000 hospitals across China. China’s population is expected grow to 400 million over 60 years old by 2035. This will increase the demand for healthcare.
AQ was built on Ant’s Healthcare Large Model which supports advanced medical reasoning, and complies to national data security standards. The company has also integrated this model into hospital systems, public services and tools such as Yibaoer and Angel, two AI agents that are used to answer questions about insurance and hospitals. Ant, following its acquisition of the online medical platform Haodf is now piloting AI agents and assistants to assist with diagnosis, patient information, and resource-limited healthcare.
