WhatsApp tests new widget to make Meta AI more accessible

We learned in January that WhatsApp was testing a home screen widget for Android to make Meta AI easily accessible. We now know that the company is testing a new widget to make MetaAI easy to access. This revelation is from WABetaInfo, who discovered the new widget in WhatsApp beta version 2.25.6.14 for Android. In the screenshots below, you can see that this widget has three shortcuts. One opens the chat with Meta AI. Another allows you to share a photo quickly with Meta AI. And the third allows voice-based interaction. This new widget’s size can be adjusted according to your preferences to fit your phone’s homepage. This widget is available only to beta testers who are running the latest version WhatsApp for Android. It’s important to note that Meta AI is only available in certain countries. If you live in one of those countries, you will not see the new widget, even if it’s a beta user.
