China’s AI industry is defined as a relentless focus on performance enhancement rather than brute force scaling. Chinese AI companies are always pushing for more efficiency, whether it’s in LLMs or real-world applications. WaveSpeedAI is an exhibitor at BEYOND Expo that exemplifies the mindset. The company is a leader in accelerating multimodal artificial intelligence while reducing operational costs.
WaveSpeedAI co-founder and chief technology officer Yangbing Li has eight years’ experience in designing large distributed systems. He held senior positions at companies like Meicai and DP Technology where he developed task scheduling systems that could manage millions of AI processes.
During our conversation at Expo, Li shared insights on WaveSpeedAI’s proprietary architecture for dynamic computation scheduling and fused fusion. The system allows image and video creation at a speed three times faster than the industry standard, while reducing compute costs by 1/3. WaveSpeedAI solutions are designed for enterprise adoption and offer flexible deployment via APIs or private setups. The platform is compatible with a wide range hardware environments including NVIDIA’s latest B200 or H100 architectures. By maximizing GPU usage, it allows real-time responsiveness for demanding scenarios, such as content creation and AI agents. It also supports gaming and social platforms.
Recently, the company raised several million dollars of seed funding and has attracted customers in Europe and North America.
Li stated that WaveSpeedAI plans to become the preferred provider of infrastructure for developers and businesses building AI-driven apps, accelerating global rollouts of multimodal generation technology.
