The New York Times published a report on Wednesday. These restrictions are part the Trump administration’s efforts to compete with China in AI. After DeepSeek shocked Silicon Valley and Wall Street for months, U.S. officials are weighing options to limit China’s access to American consumers and technologies. The White House announced on Tuesday that it would be limiting China’s access to American technologies and consumers. The Biden administration has strengthened rules to limit more Nvidia AI chip sales in China. DeepSeek has seen its popularity among U.S. AI Developers soar in recent months.
