What’s the point? While we’ve seen full-sized processors with built in displays, usually for performance monitoring, this is probably the first time that a mini PC of this size has one. It opens in a way that is reminiscent of a Game Boy Advance SP.
Aoostar, a Mini PC brand, has launched the G Flip 370, a mini PC with incredibly powerful hardware. AMD’s Ryzen AI9 HX 370, with its 12 Zen 5 cores, and Radeon integrated graphics is the reason for this. Aoostar claims that this setup is capable of handling mainstream AAA games. Even gentler titles, like League of Legends, can hit 90 frames per second at 4K.
Let’s talk about what makes this device so special: the flip-up screen. The screen is only 5 inches in size, so it’s not exactly a cinematic experience. However, it supports touch input and has a full HD 1080p resolution. Aoostar touts it as ideal for system monitoring, quick task, or even catching-up on your favorite shows. The screen is mounted to an aluminum alloy hinge that allows it to tilt to up to 65 degrees.
The integrated screen isn’t the only way you can experience the G-Flip 370’s capabilities. The mini PC is equipped with HDMI 2.1 ports and Oculink connectors to connect to larger displays. Dual 2.5G Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi 7, and a fingerprint reader next to the flip-up display ensure lightning-fast connection.
A large vapor chamber, and a bottom-mounted fan should be able to keep everything running smoothly. The G-Flip 370 comes with removable memory and two M.2 slots for PCIe 4.0 storage. Aoostar is yet to announce pricing, but if previous models are any indication, then the G-Flip 370 will likely cost around $700. The price will depend on whether you value portability or the unique screen.
