Samsung Galaxy S25 in for review

It’s easy to see why the Samsung Galaxy S25 is the best compact Android phone. You can find smaller phones with better cameras – like the Xiaomi 15 or vivo X200 Pro Mini – but they aren’t readily available, and we wouldn’t argue that everyone will enjoy them.

Samsung has dominated the smartphone market for years, and feels comfortable with users. This is an advantage that it shares only the iPhone. The Galaxy S25 will be an easy choice for anyone looking for a compact Android flagship.

The retail package contains no surprises. The Galaxy S25 comes with a USB-C cord and a SIM ejector tool. You will need to provide your own charger and case. The phone starts off at 128GB for EUR899/PS799/$799 but the 256GB is going for the same price as part of the pre-order bonus (EUR899/PS799/$799/INR 80,999), and there’s a 512GB model as well – INR 92,999.

We’re impressed by this Navy model. It’s a deep and beautiful color and the matte surface takes in and diffuses light. The Galaxy S25 is also impeccably made. It feels solid and premium in a way only matched by the iPhone 16 Pro.

And there’s something to be said about software complementing hardware – One UI 7 feels like a substantial step up from version 6. The UI is prettier and more balanced, and it’s also tangibly smoother and faster. Well done, Samsung!

Off we go to test the battery life, display and camera quality and everything you can find in a GSMArena review!
