Both Apple and Samsung will release slimmer high-end phones this year. A new report from Korea has revealed more details.
According to a new report from Korea, the iPhone 17 Air will replace Apple’s iPhone 16 Plus. For years, the Plus model has been the least popular. The iPhone 17 Air will reportedly cost the same as the iPhone 16 Plus, so you won’t have to pay more for its slimness.

) Speaking of which, a report claims that the iPhone 17 Air is 6.25 mm in thickness, which is thicker. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim will be “mid-6mm” thin, so we’re assuming 6.5mm. The Slim will be unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event later this month. However, it won’t be available for several months. Apple’s iPhone 17 Air is expected to launch in September along with the rest of the iPhone 17 line.
Samsung is said to have rushed into developing the Galaxy S25 Slim when they heard about Apple’s plans for iPhone 17 Air. The Galaxy S25 Slim, according to reports, is cheaper than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. It might fall somewhere between the Galaxy S25+ and the Galaxy S25+ in terms of price.
