We’re used to seeing one F-series device released each year. But that could be changing.
NBTC has already certified the Poco F8 Ultra for sale in Thailand, confirming that its model number is 25102PCBEG. These certifications are not usually done six months before the device becomes official. We therefore assume that the F8 Ultra is going to be unveiled well ahead of its predecessors’ one-year anniversary.
Rumors have it that the K90 Pro will be rebranded Redmi K90 Pro. However, Redmi has revealed that there will also be a K90 Pro Max. This has been the only focus of the brand’s teasers in the last few days before its announcement, which makes us believe it will be the top-end of this series (as also implied by the name).
With that in mind, can we assume that the Poco F8 Ultra is a rebranded Redmi K90 Pro Max. It’s not certain, but it would be a safe bet. Note that the K90 Pro Max already has a 6.9″ OLED screen with DC dimming across the entire brightness range, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, a main camera using a 1/1.31″ sensor, a 50MP Ultrawide, and a 5x optical zoom periscope telephoto.
