Nvidia’s GeForce RTX Founders Edition cards will not launch alongside other 5070s. Ben Berraondo, Nvidia GeForce’s global PR director, said in an email sent to The Verge, that the RTX Founders Edition would be available “later this month.”

This means that those who want it must wait until the later launch date, or they can consider third-party versions, such as those from Asus and MSI, which launch on March 5. Andreas Schilling, Hardwareluxx Editor, first announced the later Founders Edition launch on X. Nvidia already delayed the RTX-5070 series launch from its original date of February 28th. Berraondo revealed that RTX cards will be available at MSRP from March 5th. These manufacturers include: Asus, Colorful Gainward, GALAX Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac.

Nvidia claimed that the 5070 would deliver similar performance to the $1.599 RTX 409, but our tests don’t support that claim. The RTX Founders Edition has received mixed reviews and a longer wait. This is a continuation of Nvidia’s 50 series chips’ rocky launch.
