Rumor Mill: While prospective customers wait for Nvidia or AMD to replenish their newly released graphic cards, rumors indicate that Team Green has pushed back its upcoming mainstream model. The reported specs also indicate that the performance is similar to their direct predecessors which launched two year ago.

VideoCardz reports that Nvidia board partners have The final specifications of the upcoming RTX-5060 Ti were received . Prior reports also indicate that Nvidia pushed back the launch of the 5060 Ti by a few days.

This information is in line with previous posts by prominent leaker “Kopite7Kimi” stating the RTX-5060 Ti has 4,608 CUDA Cores and a TDP of 180W. The base and boost clocks are now 2,407 MHz (2,570 MHz) compared to 4060 Ti. This is a small increase of less than 100 MHz. The 5060 Ti is available in 8 GB or 16 GB versions with a 128 bit bus.

An approximate picture of the GPU specifications suggests that it may perform slightly faster than RTX 4060Ti. The 5060 Ti’s faster GDDR7 RAM could help it perform better in certain scenarios. Multi-frame generation might improve motion clarity on monitors with high refresh rates, and the card may prove useful in the near future. The standard 5060 will likely be held back by its 8 GB of VRAM, and its clock speed is unknown.

Nvidia had originally planned to announce the RTX RTX 5060 and 5060 on 13 March and release both cards in April. However, the company has remained quiet so far. According to an old post on the Board Channels Forum, the standard version will be released in May.

The delay could give Nvidia crucial time to amass sufficient stock to avoid the so-called paper launches that have made the RTX 5090, 5080, 5070 Ti, and 5070 virtually unattainable. The 5060 Ti will likely be in higher demand than other RTX50 series GPUs.

Nvidia may also be waiting for AMD’s entry into the mainstream market with the Radeon RX9060 XT or 9060. Team Red has confirmed only a Q2 2020 release window, and there is little information about their specs.

Previous reports stated that the 9060 XT has 8 GB or16 GB of memory at 20 Gbps on a 128 bit bus, and requires a power supply of 500W. However, it is unclear whether the card utilizes a Navi 48 die or the full Navi44 die.
