GeForce Hotfix display driver version 572.75 was based on the latest Game Ready Driver (572.70).
GeForce drivers are extremely complex pieces of software. We have an army software engineers who are constantly adding features and fixing bug. These changes are checked in to the main driver branches which are then run through a massive quality assurance process before being released.
Because we have so many checks in, we try to align driver release with major game or product releases. This process has been very successful over the years, but it does have one major weakness. Sometimes, a change which is important for many users may end up waiting until the driver is released.
GeForce Hotfix is our attempt to deliver some of these fixes to you faster. These drivers are essentially the same as the previously released version with a few additional targeted fixes. The fixes that are included are based on your feedback on the Driver Feedback threads, and also on how realistic we can be to address them quickly. These fixes (and more) will be included in the next official driver release. At that time, the Hotfix driver is removed.
These Hotfix drivers are beta versions, optional, and provided as is. They have been put through a very short QA process. They exist solely to provide you with fixes more quickly. Waiting for the next WHQL-certified driver is the safest way to go. We know that many of our users are willing to test these drivers.
I hope you find these hotfix drivers useful. We’ll see if it works and if people want to continue.
