The survey found the most common uses cases to be entertainment (57%), personal development (56%), work-related activities (51%), and translation (46%).

Text translators, such as Google Translate, are notorious for translating text literally, and therefore incorrectly. AI models can translate more accurately because they understand the meaning and user intention.
The Latina moms who were surveyed found that AI could also provide emotional support. Of the respondents who already use AI, 38% have used it to provide parental guidance. The respondents cited the convenience of 24/7 accessibility (67%), AI as a non-judgmental support source (48%), stress reduction, and the ability of asking sensitive questions without judgement (34%) as the top reasons to use AI for advice.
