Microsofthas announced it will make some features free in its Copilot assistant. Voice and Think Deeper are now available to everyone, powered by OpenAI’s o1 model.
Copilot received the Voice feature in October 2024, which allows users the ability to converse with the AI assistant. Think Deeper was designed to help users parse complex questions, such as evaluating the pros and cons for major home purchases while taking into account cost and long-term values. The blog post stated
“We are working hard to scale unlimited access to advanced features to as many people as possible, as quickly as possible,” . Microsoft warned that there could be delays or interruptions when users are using the newly-free Copilot applications. Copilot Pro subscribers will have access to the latest AI models and new features, even during peak usage periods.
