Many AirTag wallets offer RFID protection and other features. Ridge wallet

This wallet is the Titan X Trifold AirTag Wallet (19659018)

At ZDNET, I regularly test AirTag Wallets and have used many on the market. The Ridge Wallet is a popular AirTag wallet due to its sleek design and durable construction. It also has multiple design options. I have given the Ridge wallet as gifts, used it myself, and highly recommended it.

It’s expensive, especially if you want the AirTag-equipped version. You’ll pay an additional $25 on top of $95-$150 wallet. Also:and– I tested a smart tracking device that is thinner than Apple AirTags – and they are even more versatile.

I am impressed after using the Titan X Wallet for several weeks; it’s more valuable than purchasing a Ridge wallet option, especially if already own an AirTag.

The wallet is the same dimensions as my leather card holder. It has a dedicated money slot, several card slots and a handy lever to make it easy to find and dispensing cards. It is a good size, has a high-quality look, and comes in upscale packaging that makes it ideally suited for gifting.

It also features RFID data protection, stores up to 10 cards (six in the main body and four in additional pockets), and already has a dedicated spot for an AirTag on the back.

The Titan X trifold wallet will cost you $80 (though right now, it’s on sale for $65). That’s $40 less than buying a base model Ridge wallet with an AirTag add-on accessory. If you’re interested in the wallet itself (and not the AirTag component), there is a and aare also available for sale, along with the Bifold wallet versionWhichever version you choose, you will find it to be a useful investment.

How does it compare to Ridge?

What are the two biggest differences between The overall design isRidge and Titan X Trifold wallets. The Ridge is a larger wallet than the Titan X, which can hold up to 12 cards.

Unlike the Titan X, which has no internal pockets to store cards, the Ridge is a sleek metal-finish construction. You can slide your cards in between the plates, and then push them out as needed. If you want to attach an AirTag to your wallet, you will need to attach a clip or cash strap to the outside [of the wallet].

This wallet is made of leather and aluminum with a traditional trifold style. There are and for cash storage, as well as “pockets,” for traditional internal”pockets,”that I found to be more secure and helpful. The AirTag holder was also placed on the back.

The internal pockets on the Titan X wallet include two extra slots (bottom), a money organizer (middle), and the expandable wallet section (top).

The Titan X wallet also stores up to six cards in the expandable section, thanks to a trigger mechanism, which I find so much easier to use than the Ridge’s notch at the bottom.

ZDNET’s buying advice

It is not beyond me that in these unsteady economic times, $80 for the Titan X (or $65, at the time this article was written) is still a big chunk for a wallet. I understand you. It’s not as good quality as some other wallets or cardholders that are made from leather or mixed metals.

For comparison, my leather cardholder (pictured here) is made from 100% calfskin leather in Spain and costs $115. It does not have any of Titan X’s features. A wallet is a great long-term investment that you will use every day.

For those who are interested in purchasing their first AirTag wallet, or if they already own an AirTag, the Titan X would be a great choice. There are also other options available. If you want to add Bluetooth tracking to your wallet but are happy with it, you can do a few things. Bluetooth cards such as the KeySmart SmartCard and the SwitchBot Wallet Tracker are easy to slip into your wallet for Bluetooth tracking. They cost less than $50.
