How to use the new ChatGPT App integrations, including Spotify Figma Canva and others
OpenAI has recently launched new app-integrations in ChatGPT that allow you to connect directly to ChatGPT, and ask the assistant for things. With a Spotify integration you can ask it to create customized playlists which will appear in your Spotify app. To begin, log in to ChatGPT. ChatGPT will then guide you through the process of signing in and connecting to your account.
To set up everything at once, go to the Settings menu and click on Apps & Connectors. You can browse the apps and select the ones you want. It will take you to their sign-in pages.
It’s important to remember that by connecting your account, you are sharing your app data with ChatGPT. Be sure to check the permissions that you grant when linking your accounts. ChatGPT, for example, can access your Spotify account to see your listening history, playlists, and other personal data. Sharing this information helps personalize your experience, but you should consider if this level of access is acceptable to you before connecting.
From the Settings menu, you can also disconnect any application whenever you wish.
Available apps
The integration with the online travel giant was designed to help travelers who are looking for suggestions on where to stay, especially first-time visitors.
After linking your Booking.com account to ChatGPT, you can ask ChatGPT for hotels in your desired city based on dates and budget. You can also specify the number of people coming and if you want a hotel near public transportation. ChatGPT is designed to make the process easier than searching directly on Booking.com.

Canva
Canva in ChatGPT ( ) is a useful tool for graphic designers, and anyone who needs to create visual content quickly. This tool can help you get started on your project, whether it’s a social media post or a presentation slide deck.
After connecting your Canva account, ChatGPT can design something such as “a 16:9 slideshow about our Q4 road map” or “a fun, colorful poster for a business that offers dog-walking services.” You can specify fonts, color schemes, formats, and dimensions.
AI generated designs are rarely perfect. They may contain occasional spelling errors or distorted images. Some users may prefer this to starting from scratch. They can use Canva at any point to make the design look exactly how they want.
Coursera
Coursera’s integration helps you find the best online courses based on your skill level. You can tell ChatGPT, for example, to find “an intermediate-level course in Python”. The chatbot will then compare the course options based on rating, duration and cost. ChatGPT will also give a brief overview of the course content.
Expedia
ChatGPT can display hotel options and flights via Expedia is available without leaving the chat. It can help you find flights that suit your travel dates, budget and number of passengers, whether you are looking for a quick getaway or a longer vacation. You can narrow down your search by specifying things like “only show 4-star hotels”. Once you find something you like, you can go to Expedia and book the trip.
Figma
To use You can ask Figma to create flow charts, diagrams and more in ChatGPT. This can be useful for turning your brainstorming sessions and ideas into something more tangible. It can also be used to visualize complex concepts or workflows.
You may also upload files to the chatbot and ask it to generate a roadmap for your team. This roadmap can include deadlines, milestones and deliverables to help your team stay focused and organized.
Spotify
One of the most helpful aspects of using Spotify in ChatGPT is the ability to quickly create playlists and listen to new recommended songs tailored to your specific tastes. You can ask it to create a playlist based on your current mood, or just a playlist that only includes tracks by your favorite band.
It can also suggest new artists, playlists, audiobooks, and podcast episodes. Additionally, ChatGPT can perform actions on your behalf, including adding and removing items from your Spotify library.
Zillow
If you’re looking for a new home, Zillow ChatGPT can make the search process easier. You can narrow down the results by using a simple text message. You can specify your search criteria, such as a price range, the number of bedrooms or a particular neighborhood, in your text prompt. This will make your search more efficient and tailored for your needs.
What’s next?
Along with the announcement that OpenAI will bring apps into ChatGPT the company also stated it plans to welcome other partners soon, including DoorDash OpenTable Target Uber and Walmart. These will be launched later this year.
Currently, the ChatGPT app integrations are only available in the U.S.A. and Canada. Users in Europe and U.K. will be excluded for the time being.
