Google’s new Gemini 3 “vibe-codes” responses and comes with its own agent

Introducing Gemini 3: Google’s Next-Generation Multimodal AI Model

Google has launched Gemini 3, a significant advancement in its flagship multimodal AI technology. This latest iteration enhances reasoning capabilities, offers more seamless integration across voice, text, and image inputs, and introduces agent-like functionalities that elevate user interaction.

From Static Text to Dynamic, Contextual Interfaces

While its predecessor, Gemini 2.5, supported multimodal inputs such as images, handwriting, and voice, it typically required users to specify the desired output format and defaulted to plain text responses. Gemini 3 revolutionizes this approach by implementing what Google terms “generative interfaces.” These interfaces empower the AI to autonomously determine the most effective way to present information, whether through interactive layouts, visual diagrams, or animations, rather than delivering simple text blocks.

For example, when requesting travel advice, Gemini 3 can generate a website-like interactive experience within the app, featuring modular sections, images, and follow-up questions like “How many days will your trip last?” or “What activities do you prefer?” This dynamic presentation includes clickable options that guide users toward personalized next steps.

Similarly, when explaining complex ideas, Gemini 3 may create illustrative diagrams or short animations if it judges visuals to be more helpful, enhancing comprehension and engagement.

Gemini Agent: Streamlining Complex Tasks with Intelligent Assistance

Alongside the model upgrade, Google introduces Gemini Agent, an experimental feature designed to manage multi-step workflows within the app environment. By connecting to Google services such as Calendar, Gmail, and Reminders (with user permission), the agent can perform tasks like inbox organization or schedule management.

This agent operates by decomposing tasks into manageable steps, providing real-time progress updates, and pausing to seek user confirmation before proceeding. Google envisions this as a foundational move toward a versatile “generalist agent” capable of handling diverse user needs. Gemini Agent will be accessible to Google AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. via the web starting November 18.

Deeper Integration with Google Ecosystem Enhances User Experience

Gemini 3 also strengthens its ties with Google’s broader product suite. Select Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers can now access Gemini 3 Pro within Search, benefiting from more nuanced, reasoning-driven AI summaries that surpass the capabilities of the previous AI Mode.

In the shopping domain, Gemini leverages Google’s expansive Shopping Graph, which catalogs over 50 billion product listings, to craft detailed, interactive recommendation guides. Users can simply pose shopping queries or enter related search terms, and the model will generate comprehensive, Wirecutter-style product reviews complete with pricing and specifications-eliminating the need to visit external websites.

Empowering Developers with Advanced AI Tools

For software creators, Google has introduced Google Antigravity, a unified development platform that enables coding, tool creation, and workflow management from a single prompt. This innovation pushes the boundaries of single-prompt software generation, streamlining the development process.

Derek Nee, CEO of Flowith-an AI application specializing in agentic workflows-highlighted Gemini 3 Pro’s improvements in visual comprehension, code generation, and handling of extended tasks as critical for advancing AI-driven applications. He noted, “Its speed and cost efficiency make it a valuable addition to our product lineup. While promising, further evaluation is necessary to fully gauge its capabilities.”

Looking Ahead: The Future of AI Interaction

Gemini 3’s ability to autonomously craft tailored interfaces and manage complex, multi-step tasks marks a pivotal shift in AI usability. By moving beyond static text responses to immersive, interactive experiences, Google is setting a new standard for how AI can assist users across diverse contexts-from everyday productivity to personalized shopping and beyond.
