Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai announced that the company was working on bringing Gemini into your car and smartwatch. It will be available on Android Auto for the first and Wear OS for the second. Pichai mentioned that tablets and headphones would be upgraded from Google Assistant to Gemini. “later this year”

Google Assistant will be upgraded on mobile devices, and we’ll upgrade tablets and cars later this year, as well as devices that connect with your phone, like headphones and watches.
No further details have been given, but this is not surprising. Google has invested a great deal of time and resources into Gemini, so it was only a matter time before it reached all devices and platforms where Google is responsible for the software. And that’s exactly how it will happen.
In true Google style, there is no timeline to speak of – “later this year” has to be their favorite phrase. We’ll update you as soon as more information is available.
