Infinity Health Africa Joins Google for Startups Growth Academy: Pioneering AI in African GovTech
Infinity Health Africa, a Nigerian tech innovator specializing in regulatory and market access solutions, has been chosen to participate in the inaugural Google for Startups Growth Academy program focused on AI for GovTech. This intensive three-month accelerator is designed to empower startups leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance government service delivery.
Selected Among Top Innovators Across EMEA and Turkey
Out of numerous applicants, Infinity Health Africa was one of 25 startups from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey selected for their cutting-edge platform, ONBOARD. This proprietary system simplifies complex processes such as product registration, licensing, and post-market surveillance, enabling healthcare companies to efficiently navigate regulatory landscapes across African markets. Another Nigerian startup, E-GovConnect, which harnesses data analytics to improve healthcare outcomes, was also part of this pioneering cohort.
ONBOARD: Revolutionizing Regulatory Compliance in African Healthcare
ONBOARD’s AI-driven technology is transforming how healthcare manufacturers and distributors-including those dealing in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, nutraceuticals, diagnostics, and health tech-manage compliance. By automating regulatory workflows, the platform reduces barriers for both established firms and emerging players seeking market entry. Since its launch in April 2024, Infinity Health Africa has successfully registered over 200 products, obtained three manufacturing licenses, and facilitated market access for four companies within Nigeria.
Strategic Partnerships and Market Growth
Just two months prior to this recognition, Infinity Health Africa partnered with IntraHub Africa to further automate regulatory and quality assurance processes across the continent’s burgeoning pharmaceutical industry. This collaboration aligns with the rapid expansion of Africa’s digital healthcare sector, which is forecasted to reach $16.6 billion by 2030, driven by increasing adoption of technology-enabled health solutions.
Accelerating AI Innovation and Funding Prospects
Irene Nwaukwa, spokesperson for Infinity Health Africa, emphasized that the Google accelerator program will significantly enhance the AI capabilities of ONBOARD, positioning the company at the forefront of regulatory technology innovation. She also highlighted the timing as critical, with the startup preparing to launch a $1 million pre-seed funding round aimed at scaling operations into additional African markets. Participation in the program offers invaluable access to global investors and AI specialists, accelerating the company’s growth trajectory.
