Garmin launches a paid plan called ‘Garmin Connect+,’ with AI insights

(

). Garmin’s Garmin Connect+ plan, which is based on AI and more advanced insights about what the user’s data means, will provide personal insights and training advice. Garmin wearables offer insights into health and fitness data when collected. Most wearables have an app that shows you what the device is reading. Some apps, like Samsung Health, even show you the results. Galaxy Watch is free to use, even with advanced features. Oura, however, locks data behind a monthly subscription service, even if the data is robust.

Garmin Connect+ is a paid plan that users can sign up for to go along with the free basic package. The paid plan will offer personalized insights powered by AI and training guidance as well as expanded LiveTrack features. In essence, advanced and robust features are only available to those who pay.

Garmin goes in depth about each feature. It boils down to a more detailed insight into how your body reacts to daily life and the amount of energy you’re consuming. Garmin plans to offer activity tracking for workouts, just like other smartwatches. This is further enhanced with instructional workout videos. LiveTrack is a neat feature, as it notifies others when you begin training. This can be an excellent safety precaution under different circumstances.

Garmin Connect+ will be available at $6.99/month, or $69.99/year. Garmin Connect is still available for free to users. This includes all data and features that were in the app before the rollout.
