G42, Mistral AI will Build Next-Gen AI Platforms & Infrastructures (19459000)
G42, an Abu Dhabi-based global technology group, and Mistral AI in France will jointly develop next-generation AI platforms, infrastructure, and agents, spanning the AI value-chain from AI model training, AI agents, and infrastructure development, to industry-specific applications.
According to Peng Yiao, CEO of G42 Group, “Together, Mistral AI and G42 are not just building technology. We’re laying down the foundation for a digitally integrated future where trust, transparency, and openness are non-negotiable.”
The announcement, made on the sidelines of Choose France, aligns to the broader AI agreements supported by the UAE president His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in February 2025 and the French president Emmanuel Macron. It also highlights the growing momentum between two nations as they shape a future in which artificial intelligence is accessible and open to all. This alliance, which is rooted in the long-standing economic ties and cultural ties between France and UAE that have defined their relations for almost half a century now, represents a new chapter of cross-regional AI collaboration.
The integration of Mistral AI’s platform with G42’s AI stack will be developed using technical autonomy and IP governance to protect innovation, while enabling scalable implementation. The companies will also explore ways to promote each others’ offerings in their respective existing and new markets.
Arthur Mensch, co-founder and CEO of Mistral AI, said: “G42 shares our commitment to make powerful, open artificial intelligent accessible to everyone.” This alliance accelerates our journey and ensures that AI benefits are extended beyond traditional tech hubs.
Mistral AI will explore collaboration opportunities with the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, in frontier foundation models and talent development. This is part of the collective effort to support the next-generation AI infrastructure and platforms.
Eric Xing is the President and University Professor of MBZUAI. He said, “We are looking forward to working with G42 and Mistral AI to advance AI technology to improve energy efficiency, safety, and next-generation foundational model.” “Our shared values of innovation, collaboration and accessibility make us ideally placed to drive research advances in the field AI for the benefit of everyone.”
The agreement is part a larger commitment by both parties, to foster AI innovation and openness, economic opportunities, and inclusive growth. This is especially true in regions that have historically been underserved by technological infrastructure.
The announcement today positions the G42 and Mistral AI partnership at the forefront of bilateral cooperation, and as a demonstration of an accessible and open direction in artificial intelligence.
