Exclusive: Tech mogul Mel Morris launches Corpora.ai, a public AI research engine

British technology mogul Mel Morris announced the general release AI research engine Corpora.ai.

This system offers a new way to conduct research. Corpora is designed to produce comprehensive reports using single prompts. It promises accurate outputs and in-depth analyses.

Another big selling point is speed. According to Corpora’s engine, it can process 2,000,000 documents per second.

The AI model scans academic papers, news articles and legal documents on the internet after receiving a prompt. The content is then summarized or compiled into reports.

Corpora.ai and openai

Morris revealed that he had invested $15mn in Corpora.ai along with the launch announcement.

The funding is aimed at creating a new business model that will be used by LLMs. Corpora’s plan is to offer a new service in the sector, rather than compete with the leading GenAI companies. The research engine is also able to integrate existing models in the market. Morris stated:

We don’t compete against OpenAI, Google or DeepSeek. “The nice thing about it is that we can play nicely with all of these AI providers. As they improve their models our output gets even better. It’s an excellent symbiotic partnership.”

These outputs are where Corpora intends to make its mark. According to tests conducted by the company, the engines produces superior results at a faster rate and lower cost than the current reasoning models.

This service is now available on a subscription basis. Users can choose from monthly plans that are tailored to their specific needs.

Corpora also introduces a range of new features to tempt users:

Morris sees Corpora.ai as a research-oriented company that will go further than OpenAI and DeepSeek.
