Drink more, scroll less with Captain Morgan phone case

The Captain’s Case turns your phone into a coaster to help you stop checking it.

The Captain’s Case is a unique smartphone case that covers the screen to help people “unplug and reconnect, IRL.”

This unusual smartphone case, dubbed “The Captain’s Case,” is designed to cover your screen and help you “unplug, and reconnect, IRL.”

The idea is to cut down on the temptation to check your phone by hiding the screen, though you can still feel vibrations and hear notification chimes through the case. Not to mention a lot of people have smartwatches these days, which also show notifications. So… maybe it doesn’t help that much after all.

The Captain’s Case also works as a coaster, which I guess is nice if you need another layer between you and your phone.

I don’t believe The Captain’s Case is going to do much if you drop your smartphone. It is designed to be a one size fits all option, so even if your phone is on the smaller side, you’ll have plenty of room inside the case for it. Plus, there is only a thin layer fabric to cushion the phone.

Other than the magnets that hold it shut, the case is made of plastic.

The phone can be a distraction, whether you are out partying with friends or at home (or in the cotty).

You can still have a phone-free hangout. You could make it a game, where everyone must put their phones away and the person who touches their phone first loses. If you want to spice up the game, you can make it a bet. The first person to touch his phone pays for dinner (or if you are into partying), takes a shot or drink.

You’ll have to be creative, because there doesn’t appear to be a way to buy this smartphone case.
