According the data released on August 19 by the professional networking platform Maimai, the number of AI-related jobs in July 2025 has increased by 29 times when compared to January 2020.
According to the platform, over 1,000 AI companies currently recruit on Maimai with more than 72,000 job openings. There is a high demand for nontechnical roles in design, sales and administration.
The average salary for AI-related positions ranges between RMB 47,000 and 78,000 ($6549.43 and $10869), while some AI interns earn as much as RMB 4,050 ($557.14) per day.[
