Over the last few days, at least two workstation specialist companies have offered supercharged PCs equipped with Nvidia RTX GPUs 5090. The most impressive is the Bison is a tall tower case that can fit up to seven (yes seven) 32GB RTX5090 GPUs, all water-cooled. This is the best GPU built, and buying it from system builders seems to the only way to avoid waiting months.
Although BizonTech’s workstation will likely be featured in our best-of guide, it’s not as extensive as Comino Grando server which has eight RTX5090 GPUs. However, the latter still hasn’t been given a launch date. (I contacted Comino to find out more information).
At just under $102,000, the ZX5500 is not cheap. The GPUs account for more than 83% of the total price. This is almost three times the price of MIFCOM’s Big Boss has seven liquid-cooled RTX-4090 GPUs
The cards and a beefier 6Kw unit cost $85,000 more than the same system with a pair RTX5080 (each with 16GB VRAM). Remember that the suggested retail price for the RTX-5090 is ‘just $2000’.
RTX GPUs, where are they?
Two weeks ago, I wrote about the Bizontech RTX 5500, a seven-GPU RTX system that can be paired up with a dual core EPYC CPU, but has a higher entry price of $102,000. Other boutique workstations have also been able to secure RTX-5090 units, although with a 4-6 week leadtime.
UK-based Punch Technology will take orders for a Threadripper Pro AI rendering workstation with two Threadripper Pro GPUs, Threadripper Pro 7950WX, and 256GB RAM at a price of about $30,000 (about PS24,000.)
For just a little more, local rival Scan Computerssells an EPYC based workstation with 8 RTX 5090 at almost two thirds the price of Comino’s system. I contacted them on X.com, formerly Twitter, to ask if this was a real price or a placeholder.

It turns out that it is a subscription to Scan’s Cloud Workstation, which is even more disappointing.]
Puget Systems, whose president blamed the limited supply of RTX-5090 for the long lead times, only sells single-GPU configurations at this time. T140-XL () with two 16GB Nvidia GPUs RTX-5080 for less than $13,000. Ready to ship in under two weeks.
Other RTX 5090 rigs are available from workstation specialists such as:
- X.solutions: Starting at only $7,000
- Neox Computer (from PS4,510) (19659017) Boxx (price not known)
- GladiatorPC (from £12,000)
Popular Titan Computers workstation outfit. None of the three major PC manufacturers (Dell Lenovo and HP) has yet to release RTX-5090 workstations.

John Loeffler, of TechRadar, calls the RTX 5090 the supercar of graphic cards and questions whether it is simply too powerful. He suggests that it is a glutton for wattage.
He says, “It is overkill, especially if you want it only for gaming.” Monitors that can handle the frames this GPU puts out are years away.
