Snowman from Toronto, the developer of Alto’s Adventure,as well as the originalSkate Cityhas released a new title, Skate City New York,to help you feel how it feels to skate.
This game is available on Apple Arcade. It’s a lot of fun and well worth paying a monthly membership fee to play it.
Skate city: New Yorkuses the same side-scrolling gameplay as its predecessor. All tricks are performed by using various swipes, taps or holds on the screen. You’ll learn all of this in the tutorial levels that are available at the beginning of the game. The haptic feedback makes the game more immersive and the tricks feel intuitive. This is also helped by the excellent sound design. There are also three game modes. The ‘challenge mode’ asks you to complete three tasks or tricks within a given time limit. ‘Free Skate,’ on the other hand, lets you skate anywhere you want and do anything you like in a procedurally-generated world. ‘Pro Skate,’ however has you trying your best to score as many points before you crash.
It’s a stylish game and if you want a game with a chill vibeSkate city: New Yorkwill be perfect. The title is surprisingly enjoyable to play on iPhone, Mac and Apple TV. Apple Arcade costs $8.99 per month, and includes tons of games for Macs, iPhones, iPads and Apple TV.
