Black Forest Labs released a new set of image-generating models on Thursday. Some of the models can create or edit pictures.
Black Forest Labs writes that the most capable model in the new family is called Flux.1 Kontext. It can be prompted by text and, if desired, a reference picture to create new pictures. blog post.
The company wrote in its post that “The Flux.1 Kontext model delivers state-of-the art image generation results with strong prompt follow-up, photorealistic render, and competitive typesetting — all at inference speed up to 8x faster compared to current leading models.” Flux.1 kontext is a response to the increasing competition in building image generators. Google unveiled its latest image-generating algorithm, Imagen 4, at the I/O developer’s conference earlier this month. OpenAI introduced a new image-generating model for ChatGPT earlier this year. The model quickly became popular because it was able to create art that looked like Studio Ghibli movies.
