Apple released its first developer Beta for iOS 18.4 on Friday. It adds a “Priority notifications” feature powered by Apple Intelligence. The new feature is designed to help users manage notifications by prioritizing the most important alerts, and minimizing distractions caused by less important ones.
These notifications are displayed separately on the Lock Screen. Apple Intelligence analyzes which notifications should be displayed in this section. You can still swipe upwards to view all your notifications.
The iPhone currently sorts notifications chronologically with the most recent alerts at the top. You’ll be able to see the most important notifications first, even if they were received a long time ago.
As per 9to5MacPriority Notifications by default is off. You can enable it by opening the “Prioritize notifications” section in your Settings app. You can toggle this feature on here.
Apple announced that Apple Intelligence will be coming to the Vision Pro with visionOS 2.4. The software is available in beta for developers. The public version will be released in April.
