Anthropic has reportedly revoked OpenAI’s access to its Claude AI family models. A report in Wired
According to Wired, OpenAI was using internal tools to compare Claude’s performance with its own models, such as coding, writing and safety. Anthropic, in a statement to TechCrunch said that OpenAI’s technical staff was also using their coding tools before the launch of GPT-5, which is apparently a “direct violation of our Terms of Service.” (Anthropic’s commercial terms prohibit companies from using Claude for competing services. Anthropic said that it would still give OpenAI access “for the purposes for benchmarking and safety assessments.”
